How much you can save depends on a number of factors, such as how many smart devices you have and how flexible your electricity consumption is. Typically, customers of ours with no or few smart devices save between 10% and 20%, while customers with many smart devices and the ability to radically shift their consumption save around 40%-50%
Smart meter data is considered personal data and is only stored on your meter - that’s why we need to prove you consent to us accessing your data by verifying your identity This is required by our data provider, who has an obligation to protect smart meter data and make sure it doesn't end up with the wrong people.
We use a copy of your electricity bill to do this because it contains important information, including proof of address and proof that you are paying the bill.
Once you've completed the sign-up process and uploaded your bill, we'll immediately contact our data provider to verify your identity and request your smart meter data. This process can take up to one week. Once we have your data, processing it through our database may take up to another two working days. In total, we aim to have your recommendation in your hands in two weeks after you submit your request
